INNOVATUR – Planned Activities
The INNOVATUR project included a series of transnational project meetings (TPMs), peer-learning activities (PLAs), and multiplier events, all of which were completed by January 31, 2024.
Transnational Project Meetings (TPMs): TPMs were the collaborative heartbeat of INNOVATUR, bringing together key representatives from both partner universities, Prague University of Economics and Business (PUEB) and the University of South-Eastern Norway (USN). These meetings were held online and in-person to align on project objectives, discuss intellectual outputs, and plan peer-learning activities. The online kick-off meeting in September 2022 established the foundation, defining roles and setting expectations. Subsequent monthly meetings ensured cohesive project progress and engagement between academia and external stakeholders.
Peer-Learning Activities (PLAs): Four PLAs were conducted among academic staff from PUEB and USN. These activities focused on creating educational content, developing a handbook for proactive engagement with external stakeholders, and innovating teaching methods in sustainable and smart tourism. The dynamic exchange of knowledge and best practices during these sessions enriched educational content and bridged the gap between academia and the tourism industry, promoting ethical values and addressing real-world challenges.
Multiplier Events: Two multiplier events were held at the end of the project, hosted by PUEB and USN. These events were pivotal in disseminating the project’s intellectual outputs to a broader audience, including academia and the tourism sector. They showcased the project’s achievements, gathered diverse feedback, and laid the groundwork for future cooperative initiatives. By fostering knowledge exchange and promoting ethical values in tourism, these events served as a nexus for innovation, collaboration, and future funding opportunities in sustainable tourism.
