INNOVATUR – Multiplier Events
Multiplier events played a crucial role in the INNOVATUR project, facilitating broad dissemination of the project’s intellectual outputs, stakeholder engagement, and fostering collaborative networks. Two major events were held, one at the Prague University of Economics and Business (PUEB) and the other at the University of South-Eastern Norway (USN).
Multiplier Event at PUEB (January 29, 2024)
Venue: CzechTourism Agency, Prague, Czech Republic
Objective: To promote the project’s intellectual outputs and foster collaboration with external stakeholders.
Participants: Representatives from PUEB, USN, CzechTourism Agency, Tomas Bata University in Zlín, Czech Technical University in Prague, University Portucalense, Matej Bel University in Banska Bystrica, University of Sao Paulo, University of Padua, Sherpa srl, and other institutions.
Program Highlights:
- Opening Remarks: Welcome speeches from project coordinators and CzechTourism Agency representatives.

Outcomes: The event successfully disseminated the project’s intellectual outputs, leading to the development of a new project proposal, “Enhancing Rural Tourism through Sustainable and Smart Education (RuralEduRevive),” submitted to the 2024 Erasmus Cooperation Partnerships call. Discussions also began on potential collaborations within Horizon Europe and other Erasmus key actions.
Multiplier Event at USN (January 30, 2024)
Venue: USN, Bø, Telemark, Norway (Hybrid mode)
Objective: To engage with students and gather feedback on the project’s intellectual outputs.
Participants: USN academic staff and students, with some online participation.
Program Highlights:
- Session 1: Presentation of the project’s intellectual outputs.
- Session 2: Innovative teaching methodologies, featuring a presentation on “Challenge-Based Learning for Teaching Climate Change in the Tourism Sector.”
- Session 3: Highlights from the “Textbook on Introduction to Sustainable and Smart Tourism.”
- Session 4: Presentation of the “Book of Teaching Case Studies in Sustainable and Smart Tourism,” including case studies on sustainable tourism principles.
Feedback and Interaction: The primary goal was to gather student feedback to refine the educational materials developed. The feedback received will inform future iterations of the intellectual outputs, ensuring they meet the educational needs and expectations of future professionals in the tourism sector.
Challenges and Adaptations: The decision to focus internally was influenced by logistical constraints and adverse weather conditions, ensuring the event remained productive and aligned with project goals.
Future Implications: The insights from this event will contribute to continuous improvement of the project’s deliverables, enhancing their impact and relevance in higher education settings.
